Josh got hired at my town’s paper to shoot fall sports and also as a stringer. Shooting sports isn’t my favorite thing but I don’t care I’m sooooo stoked and I get to get some near gear!!!!!!

Its gotta be between my Canon 70-200 2.8 or Canon 10-22. I love the bokeh when shooting portraits at 100mm or so on the 2.8. But i also like using the wide angle with my alienbees. I’m also a big fan of the canon 24-70. I’ve used it a bunch and i love it.

The vintage feel was intentional, I felt playing with a can and string (do kids still do that??) it fit to make it feel older. As always, feedback is more than welcome.

Heck yeah! I’m mad stoked, so much to take in on that adventure! Crazy thing is I’m going solo! lol Everyone thinks I’m crazy for that. But I’ll meet up with people I know along the way for sure!
We just did the move from Florida to Cali 2 months ago, drove the whole way. It was amazing, one of those things that I think you have to do once, just to see places you probably would never expect to travel to. Before that I never have driven more than 6 hours, but it was no problem. Have Fun…
I drove all the way from Southern California to Virginia Beach when my family moved, many many moons ago… I would LOVE to do it again now that I’m older & take photos galore!
Martyn where abouts in Florida you move from? I plan on making that move myself soon enough. I’m looking at moving out around Tahoe in 2012, gotta plan ahead.
Cherylyn I say if you can get the time and such do it! It would definately be exciting and worth it!

That’s pretty awesome. I love shooting sports. And if you’re doing it for the paper, you get a press pass so you can actually get down on the sidelines usually. I’m pretty jealous. I love shooting football. Basketball’s alright too, but I really like football haha. And since you said fall, I’m guessing that’s what you’ll be doing.
I’m also going to be covering basketball this winter most likely i’m really not looking forward to shooting under those gym lights, and hopefully by then i can swing a used mark iii
